The curse of WLW relationships in TV

The curse of WLW relationships in TV

Spoilers ahead!

But let's face it, if you're here reading this blog, you've probably watched every single show I'm about to discuss and have obsessed over each character in turn.

For example...

Killing Eve Series Finale Art | Eve & Villanelle's Last Scene | Premium Print - Jessie's Art Shop

These two lovebirds ❤️

So, assuming you are someone who enjoys a good on screen WLW romance, you'll know what I mean when I say, TV needs to cut us a break!

Seriously though.

It seems we can't get one single WLW romance without it ending in dismay!

Years later, and I am STILL reeling over the Killing Eve ending. It was almost like the producers felt they had to kill villanelle because that's the general rhetoric. My presumptions confirmed by the completely unrealistic and unnecessary death scene.

You know the one. Where a sniper somehow shoots villanelle from behind a boat, whilst she is under the water.

If the giant lumbering boat didn't stop the bullets by being in the direct firing line, then you still have the body of water which would have slowed the bullets significantly, especially as she jumped in and started swimming downward.

Okay, Killing Eve rant over

Moving on to The Last of Us. I know, I know, they are contending with a zombie apocalypse, but come on!

Ellie & Riley Photobooth Sticker | The Last of Us | Eco-Friendly Vinyl - Jessie's Art Shop I mean, just as Ellie plucks up the courage to kiss Riley, along comes Mr fungus brain to ruin everything.

- insert terrible joke about him not being such a fun-guy after all -

Sigh. They were doomed as soon as it was clear this was not just a bff situation.

Speaking of doom

Agatha All Along. I've only recently finished this one and damn, I knew it was going to be coming and yet still, I was not ready!

Even Rio, Lady Death herself, seemed taken aback by Agatha's death! They brought a whole new light to 'the kiss of death.' Though my mind immediately went to "did you guys just hold hands for your whole relationship then..?" I guess in the scheme of things, dying by kiss isn't too bad!

When you're off on an uninvited date with your ex

I hope we get a season 2 of this show. And that our two favourite witchy lesbians get a chance to try this whole kiss and make-up thing, without the killing each other part.
